Events at SPC
In SF, we hosted Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy for a conversation on leadership in the AI age and where value lives once software commoditizes. Soleio hosted a Design Chat with Joel Lewenstein, who leads design at Anthropic.
In NYC, Demo Night filled the room with builders showcasing work from Luma, ElevenLabs, Sentience, Sandbar, and Flora. SPC India closed out its Curiosity 2.0 Hard-Tech Showcase, where teams demoed working prototypes across physical AI, bio, and deep tech.
Fund Updates
It was a landmark month for SPC companies.
Baseten raised a $1.5B Series F at a $13B valuation, led by Altimeter, Conviction, and Spark Capital, to power inference for the world’s most advanced applications.
Longshot Space raised $5M from SPC, bringing total funding to $20M, to build a ground-based kinetic launcher that propels payloads to hypersonic velocities and opens a scalable path to orbit.
Orb has entered a definitive agreement to be acquired by Adyen for $335M. Orb’s usage-based billing infrastructure will unify billing and payments for Adyen’s enterprise merchants.
Town announced a $55M Series A led by a16z to build Townie, an AI assistant learns how you work and does the work alongside you.
Qosmic raised $3.33M led by Accel and Prosus Ventures to build the optical highway to the cosmos, the communication backbone for the next generation of satellites.
